About the role

Wedgelock has a very exciting opportunity available in our Northern Region, (including Taupo and further north), for a sales-driven and service focussed Key Account Manager.  This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and focussed sales professional to join the team and deliver results.  Proven history and experience in B2B sales and an enthusiasm and strong willingness to learn are essential for this position.
Reporting to and with the support of the COO, you will work independently in the Northern Region, working from home and planning your travel to our key accounts around the region.  You will thrive in an environment where you are motivated to discuss your sales targets and plan for success, and you are confident with an exceptional customer service focus.
We are looking for someone who is very organised to call on our customers and grow the business.  You pride yourself on your ability to develop strong relationships to exceed customer expectations and provide high-end servicing, which will include promoting the improvements we have made in our products.
We have well-developed processes and operations within our Headquarters and modern facilities based in Upper Hutt. You will collaborate with the procurement and production teams as you manage sales in your region.  Training will be provided and tailored to your needs.

Responsibilities include -

  • Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities.
  • Develop your territory to achieve sales goals.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with executive decision-makers within the existing sales distribution network.
  • Strive to ensure seamless execution of the company's sales targets & business processes that exceed customer expectations.
  • Manage and attend tradeshows and special promotional events as part of the regional sales strategy.
