tenX Safety Knuckle will not retract when activated

CHECK

Check hydraulic supply to coupler

REMEDY

If damaged or leaking, repair or replace 
Check Safety Knuckle and housing for lodged debris

REMEDY

Remove debris
Check that attachment pin is not loaded against Safety Knuckle

REMEDY

Crowd coupler to remove pressure from Safety  Knuckle
Check the system pressure being supplied during operation

REMEDY

Crowd the bucket cylinder to overcome low idle pressure 
Check in-cab switch is functioning

REMEDY

Refer to carrier machine manual

Specific to 130–320 Weight Classes

Check that Trigger extends required distance from chassis –12mm (130), 17mm (170-320)

NO

There may be a burr in front of the trigger cavity or debris in the cavity. Grind off burr or remove debris

YES

There may be damage to one or more of the Trigger components. Contact Wedgelock.

tenX Safety Knuckle is slow to activate or partially activates

CHECK

Check the system pressure being supplied during operation

REMEDY

Crowd the bucket cylinder to overcome low idle pressure
Check Safety Knuckle and housing for lodged debris

REMEDY

Remove debris
Check tenX spring and shaft assemblies for damage

REMEDY

Replace if required

Primary Wedge will not retract

CHECK

Check coupler for any debris that may be lodged behind the Wedge plate

REMEDY

Clear the debris
Inspect the Pilot  Operated Safety Check Valve in main cylinder

REMEDY

Remove, clean and replace as necessary
Check in-cab switch is functioning

REMEDY

Refer to carrier machine manual

Primary Wedge is operating slower than normal

CHECK

Check that the operator is crowding the bucket cylinder to create machine pressure

REMEDY

Crowd the bucket cylinder to overcome low idle pressure 
Check the operating pressure that extends the Primary Wedge 

REMEDY

Adjust the pressure reducing valve if required

There is oil leaking around the main cylinder in the coupler

CHECK

Check hoses and connections to the main cylinder

REMEDY

Tighten and replace as necessary
Check cylinder for damage

REMEDY

Remove main cylinder and dismantle. Replace any damaged parts

tenX Powertilt will not hold position

CHECK

Cross port relief valve is triggered by excess pressure

REMEDY

Reduce supply pressure (Max. 200 bar. See page 17 of the Installation Manual supplied with Coupler)
Faulty cross port relief valve 

REMEDY

See Helac manual (supplied with Coupler)
Actuator seals leaking oil

REMEDY

Test and replace seals as required. See Helac manual (supplied with Coupler)
