Product Support Specialist

The Role

We are looking for a Product Support Specialist to join Wedgelock Equipment Ltd. This role is the interface with the customer solving problems that arise in the field.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Deliver service and support to our customers via phone, internet or face to face.
  • Gather customer’s information and determine the issue by evaluating and analysing the symptoms;
  • Interact with customers to process information in response to warranty enquiries and concerns about our products and services.
  • Accurately process and record transactions using a computer and appropriate software;
  • Identify and escalate priority issues (reoccurring failures, safety critical issues)
  • Redirect problems to appropriate resource (Engineering or Production)
  • Offer alternative solutions where appropriate with the objective of retaining customers’ and clients’ business;
  • Follow up and make scheduled call backs to customers where necessary;

Qualifications, Skills & experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering and or manufacturing
  • Organised and tidy
  • Computer literacy – MS word, Excel
  • An understanding or experience with Hydraulics would be beneficial, in particular Hydraulic Excavators
